Project Description: The 18,000 square foot Center of Excellence addition to the active campus connects the school’s existing auditorium building to the east wing classroom building. The structure is a structural steel frame with full height interior and exterior CMU walls. The exterior veneer includes brick, precast, storefront and aluminum curtain wall systems. Interior spaces include studio art, graphics art, classrooms, studios, computer lab, rehearsal room and administrative offices. The new main electrical and mechanical rooms for the entire campus were part of this project. Additionally, the project included renovations of approximately 92,639 square feet of the existing high school. The renovations included upgrades to existing classrooms, media center, lobbies; installation of elevator; and construction of new dry and wet science labs.
